Respect is DDBS's first release from 2002. These disks chock full of creativity and the ability to manipulate their interest. Even with the packaging that features found writings, photographs/artwork from odd books, and deformed babies. Devil and the Deep Blue Sea put together the best of their produced experimental recordings and a live soundtrack to their first found mini cassette which is featured on CD 2. The pieces on CD 1 are diverse selections created by Chris and Marc independently and also together. They collaged sounds that they excavated from their own musical creations with the samples from a varity of films and tapes they smuggled from answering machines in thrift stores, to bring together a CD that will always leave the listener finding something new. -marc palm
