| HIDEKAZU WAKABAYASHI AND LAP DANCER LIMITLESS LIGHT (Self-Satisfied 0062) “ Limitless Light ” is a collaborative album by composer/instrumentalist Hidekazu Wakabayashi and noise experimentalist Lap Dancer. Their love for the study of spirituality and drive to explore new musical boundaries served as a major inspiration for this project. Even though stylistically, Wakabayashi and Lap Dancer seem to be at opposite ends of the musical spectrum (melodic ambience vs. harsh noise), these pieces document a unique convergence of melody and electronic experimentalism while, at the same time, serve as a launching pad for a new and innovative approach to the utilization of traditional instruments and their application to experimental music.
